Promotional Flags

Custom Promotional Flags

Promotional flags are tall printed fabric flags that lift your brand above the street, so people walking or driving past see it first. Unitix supplies custom advertising flags in three shapes (teardrop, feather and rectangle), each in small, medium and large, printed single or double sided. Pick your shape and size, request a quote, and approve a draft before anything goes to print.

Teardrop, Feather or Rectangle?

All three do the same job: grab attention from a distance. Your brand and artwork should decide the shape, so pick the one that shows off your logo best.

Teardrop flags

Pick a teardrop when your logo is the hero. It's the widest shape in the range at every size, so a round or square logo sits comfortably without shrinking.

Feather flags

Feather flags give you the most height for the width. They work for footpaths and roadsides where you want to be seen over cars, crowds and A-frames.

Rectangle flags

Pick a rectangle when you're working with text or a wide wordmark that needs straight edges. It's the closest thing to a portable banner flag.

Choosing a Size

Medium2500 × 1040 mm2960 × 640 mm2500 × 700 mm
Large3670 × 1300 mm4100 × 780 mm3450 × 700 mm
  • Small: shopfront doorways, foyers, market stalls and indoor events, where people see it up close.
  • Medium: the all-rounder for footpaths, open homes, club rooms and event entries.
  • Large: roadsides, car yards, sports grounds and big outdoor sites, where people see it from further away or from a moving car.

If you can't decide, go bigger. A flag nobody notices does nothing for you.

Artwork That Reads From a Distance

Most people see a flag for a second or two. Design for that.

  • Keep the words to a minimum. Your logo plus a few words: "Open", "Sale", "Open Home", "Coffee", "Rego Day".
  • Go bold. Use thick, simple fonts. Skip thin scripts and fine detail.
  • Use high contrast. Dark on light or light on dark. Two or three strong colours beat a full-colour photo.
  • Work with the shape. Stack text vertically on feather and rectangle flags. Centre a logo on a teardrop.
  • Choose double sided if people pass from both directions. That way your message reads correctly from both sides.

Send print-ready files, or tell us what you want on the flag. You'll get a draft to approve before production.

Where Promotional Flags Work Best

Flags work wherever you need people to notice you: shopfronts and cafes, real estate open homes, car yards, weekend markets, sports clubs on game and registration days, school fetes, trade shows, festivals and community events. One flag marks your spot. A row of them along a frontage or entry tells people where to go.

For window and noticeboard promotion, pair outdoor flags with custom posters in A0 or A1, using the same artwork. Running the gate as well? Our event wristbands guide shows you which band to use for one-day entry, multi-day access or giveaways.

How Ordering Works

  1. Choose a shape and size. Each flag lists its print dimensions and price range.
  2. Choose single or double sided. Double sided costs a little more per flag.
  3. Request a quote. Flags are quote-only, so there's no checkout. Add your artwork or design notes when you submit.
  4. Approve your draft. Nothing is printed until you sign it off.
  5. Delivery. Your flags ship straight to the address you give us.

Every flag in this range is print only. You get the printed flag, with no pole or base.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a feather flag and a teardrop flag?+
A feather flag is tall and slim with a curved top edge, so it gets you the most height. A teardrop flag is shorter and wider with a rounded top, so it gives a logo more room. Pick feather for height and teardrop for logo space.
What size promotional flag should I get?+
Small suits shopfronts, stalls and indoor spaces. Medium suits footpaths, open homes and event entries. Large is for roadsides, car yards and sports grounds. Each product page lists exact print dimensions.
Should I choose single or double sided?+
Single sided is printed on one side, so the design reads back to front from the other side. Choose double sided if people approach from both directions and you want the message to read correctly from both.
Do the flags come with a pole and base?+
No. Every flag in this range is a printed flag only. Poles, bases and other hardware aren't included.
How do I order, and can I mix shapes and sizes?+
Choose your flag, pick single or double sided, and request a quote. You can mix shapes and sizes to suit your site. Request a quote on each flag, or send the whole list to the Unitix team in one go. You'll approve a draft before anything is printed.
